This personal project grew out of a 30-hour training course I developed for Fairfax County Public Schools to teach personnel how to use ColdFusion to develop on-line, dynamic database applications. An application that tracked books read by participants that included reviews of those books by anyone wishing to submit a review seemed like a practical application to use to learn ColdFusion. In addition, we developed it in such a way that it could be adapted to many other uses needed in any large organization: project tracking, trouble ticket recording, etc.

Since I read a lot of books, I decided to adapt my original "Book Review" application to one I could use to track which books I had already read by given authors and which I would still like to read. I am in the early stages of doing this, but hope to soon have part of the application accessible by anyone without need for password control and to be able to open it up to those who would like to share my list and use the application as it was originally intended for the ColdFusion training course.
