Riding the London Eye
eye images 1 | eye images 2
The British Airways London Eye is a truly amazing feat of design and construction.

Originally conceived by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield as an entry for a millennium landmark competition, the project took six years and the expertise of hundreds of people from five European countries to turn it into a reality. It opened in 2000. ( from: http://www.londoneye.com)

On Monday, April 17th, our group practically ran across one of the bridges over the Thames, having been delayed at our dinner at the Hardrock Cafe, to get to our scheduled ride on the "Eye."

Alas, we missed it by minutes! We returned on Wednesday evening, however, and enjoyed a 30-minute plus ride with tremendous views of the city!
